PESHAWAR, 20 October: Two more dengue patients died in Peshawar and Mardan on Thursday after which the death toll from the disease in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has mounted to 58.

According to Dengue Response Unit, Afia Bibi from Nasir Bagh, Peshawar was admitted to a private hospital on 17 October. She died during treatment at the hospital on Thursday. Another victim, Lal Badshah from Sawal Dher area of Mardan, was also admitted to Mardan Medical Complex on 17 October. Lal Badshah also died at the hospital on Thursday.

A special anti-dengue campaign was launched in Peshawar on Wednesday during which fumigation will be carried out inside and outside houses in the affected union councils.
