BARA, October 23: Two more children have been diagnosed with polio in different areas of Bara tehsil, Khyber Agency.

According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), one and a half years old Adil from Kalanga area and one-year-old Mafia from Mir Akakhel village are the latest victims of polio.

With the verification of new cases, the number of polio victims has reached 212 in Pakistan this year, and about 141 of the total cases have been reported from the tribal areas.

The World Health Organisation has already imposed travel restrictions on Pakistani nationals, because they are now required to produce a polio vaccination certificate to travel abroad.
