Two security personnel injured in Bajaur cross border attack

KHAR: Two security personnel were injured in firing by unknown militants in Bajaur Agency from across the Pak-Afghan border on Sunday.

Security sources said the militants from across the border opened fire on Pakistani soldiers in Mamond tehsil during which one soldier, Shahid Sultan Yousafzai was injured. The militants again opened fire when other soldiers arrived to rescue the injured soldier. A driver of security forces, Fazal was injured in the firing.

The Pakistan Army troops immediately reached the spot and engaged the militants.

2 policemen injured in DI Khan grenade attack

Meanwhile, two policemen were injured in a bomb attack in Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday.

Police said unknown militants threw a hand grenade on Faqirni check post on Circular Road due to which two policemen were injured. The injured policemen were taken to nearby hospital.

Attacks on police and target killings have increased in DI Khan recently.
