QUETTA, 19 June: The Frontier Corps (FC) has arrested two suspects involved in the murder of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Imran Farooq from Chaman border.

The FC spokesman Abdul Waseh told TNN that the two suspects, Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shameem, were arrested when they were entering Pakistan from Afghanistan. He said the arrested suspects belong to a political party in Karachi and they were wanted in the murder case of Dr Imran Farooq in London.

The spokesman said the Interior Ministry has been informed about the arrest of the suspects and they have been handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further probe.

The MQM convener Dr Imran Farooq was killed near his house in London on 16 September, 2010.
