DI KHAN: The Security forces on Tuesday informed that they have gunned down two terrorists in a clash during a search operation in the district. According to details, the security forces on a tip-off raided the hideout of the terrorist when they opened fire on the forces and was killed in the ensuing clash.
The clash took place during a search operation in Khoi Bahara area of Tehsil Draban of Dera Ismail Khan, informed the security forces. The alleged terrorists killed in the clash were identified as Abdul Rahman aka Abdu and the Farman were affiliated with Tehrik-e-Taliban-Pakistan (TTP).
The security forces have further said that a huge cache of explosives, handguns and automatic weapons were also recovered from their possession. The sources said the terrorist was wanted to the police for terror activities including attacks on Police van, target killings and other gruesome crimes.
District Admin launches operation to retrieve graveyard in Lakki
LAKKI MARWAT: The district administration on Tuesday launched an operation against land grabbers and recovered 20 Kanal of Bukhari Shah graveyard from their possession. According to details over the years, land grabbers have grabbed the graveyard which is of historical importance. They have levelled the graves even erected walls in grave violation of law and rules.
The officials said that after the operation was launched, a total of 20 Kanal of graveyard land have so far been recovered from their possession. The operation was conducted under the command of district commissioner, Jahangir Azam and District Police officer (DPO), Asif Ghafoor.
The DC while talking to media said that they will not allow land grabbing in the districts and under the law, cases will be registered against all those who are found involved in the henious crime of land grabbing. The deputy commissioner has deployed policemen on the recovered land. The DPO issued instructions for registering cases against accused.
