PESHAWAR, 27 October: The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has offered assistance to Pakistan and Afghanistan over earthquake damages.

In a statement on Monday, the UN chief expressed grief over the damages caused by the deadly earthquake in Pakistan and Afghanistan and prayed for early recovery of the injured. He said the United Nations is prepared for relief work in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also telephoned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to express grief over the earthquake damages. He has also offered assistance in relief efforts.

The United States has also offered all kind of assistance to Pakistan after the earthquake.
