WANA, 16 August: The political administration and local tribesmen of South Waziristan agency extended the deadline given to unregistered Afghan refugees for another one month.

According to political agent Zafar ul Islam, the extension has been given on the request of Afghan nationals as they had sought further time to wind up their businesses.

The local administration and Ahmadzai Wazir tribesmen on August 3 asked unregistered Afghan refugees to leave the area within a week time. However, the Afghan refugees requested the local tribesmen and the political authorities that it wouldn’t be possible for them to wind up business and relocate families to Afghanistan in one week time. They had sought more time from the local administration and tribesmen.
