PESHAWAR, 18 November: The Peshawar University Teachers Association (PUTA) organised an Urdu Mushaira (poetry session) at the Agha Khan Auditorium in University of Peshawar on Tuesday.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Rasool Jan was chief guest on the occasion, while teachers and students attended the event in large number. Poets from different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa presented their poetry at the event which was greatly liked by the participants.

Some students who attended the Mushaira said it was a very attractive event which refreshed their minds.

“Such gatherings are very useful for students which give them an opportunity to gain knowledge about the efforts of scholars and Urdu literature,” a student told TNN.

“Earlier, we greatly enjoyed the Pashto Mushaira and now the Urdu Mushaira was even more enjoyable,” another student said.
