ISLAMABAD, 25 October: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif, while briefing the Senate on Wednesday said that Pakistan was willing to cooperate with US in war on terror without compromising its sovereignty.

He briefed Senate that Pakistan could no more fight other’s war on its own soil. The minister was briefing the Senate regarding the talks held between Pakistani and American delegations a day earlier

He said that the American delegation was told that they should allow their policymakers, and not their military leaders, to device a policy for Afghanistan.

He added that military solution has been failed and a political solution was the only option left with all the stakeholders.

“We informed the US delegation that Pakistan does not want any military hardware, economic resources or material gain from Washington rather relationship on equal terms,” he said.
