PESHAWAR, 26 September: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has said the US instead of trying to eliminate the Taliban must hold negotiations with them with the help of Pakistan.

In an interview with the Associated Press, the PTI chief rejected the allegation of US President Donald Trump against Pakistan and said it hurt the feeling of Pakistanis. The PTI chief said that there are safe havens for terrorists in Afghanistan who are attacking the Pakistani troops.

Trump while announcing new US strategy for Afghanistan and Pakistan on 22 August had accused Pakistan of supporting militants attacking US forces in Afghanistan.
