TIMERGARA, 5 November: Village council (VC) nazims in Lower Dir have expressed concerns over the post quake damage assessment survey in their areas saying they were not consulted by district administration during the process.
Talking to TNN Nawab Alam, nazim VC Malak Abad said hat the district administration didi not involve them in conducting the post quake damage assessment survey which he termed it as violation of basic concept of devolving powers to the grass root level.
Hidayatullah, nazim village council Danwa, said that at least 6 house were destroyed while over 40 damaged by the earthquake in his VC. However, none of the house owners received any relief except a tent provided to Bakht Munir, a victim of the earthquake. He alleged that when he requested the survey team to visit and assess the damaged houses of some quake affectees including Sakhitan Bacha, Sultan Rehman and Naeemullah, it rejected his request saying those houses were not completely damaged.
Nazim village council Tangi Najeebullah told TNN that when he handed over a list of the damaged houses in his village Tangi to the survey team ,it refused to assess the houses.
