PESHAWAR, 7 December: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak has issued directions to pay compensation to the victims of terrorist attack on the Directorate of Agriculture in Peshawar equal to compensation given to the victims of Army Public School terror attack.
According to a statement issued from the Chief Minister Office, Secretary Agriculture Department had sent a summary to the chief minister for payment of compensation to the families of nine people who lost their lives in the incident and those who sustained injuries in the terror act. The chief minister while approving the summary directed that the victim families must be provided compensation equal to compensation paid to the APS attack victim families.
The KP government had paid Rs2 million each to the families of the APS martyrs, Rs400,000 each to critically injured people and Rs200,000 each to slightly injured people.
The statement said Mr Khattak also directed to repair the rooms, laboratories and offices at the Directorate of Agriculture and increase the height of the boundary walls of the directorate.
