Visually impaired persons protest in favour of demands

PESHAWAR: The visually impaired persons on Monday staged a protest demonstration against the provincial government for its alleged discriminatory policies against them in job quotas.

The protesting persons chanted slogans against Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and provincial government for depriving them of their rights in government jobs.

They protesters said that they had asked the CM to meet them but he refused, asking the government to stop the discriminatory policy by giving them their due rights.

They asked the government to allocate three percent quota in the jobs for special people and ensure that only they could be recruited on the posts allocated for them. They also demanded monthly stipend and provision of Sehat Card to special persons.
