JAMRUD, 19 September: A welfare organization on Tuesday opened a school in a hujra to help children access primary education in areas where there is no primary school. The organisation also distributed books and bags among 50 students who were enrolled at the school.

The school was opened by Medical and Education Aid Society’s chairman Ikramullah Jan Kokikhel and assistant political agent Muhammad Riaz.

The school was named as ‘Teach a Kid to Make Individual Life’ whereas around 100 schools would be opened across Fata.

Ikramullah said these schools would be opened where there was no primary school in the area while its teachers would be imparted two-week training in Islamabad. He said that every teacher would be given Rs10,000 salary.

He added that the school was launched on directives of Governor Iqbal Zafar Jaghra who is also patron in chief of this organization. He said that the organization would also extend financial assistance in health sector.
