PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) had promised 10 million jobs but they have made 2 million people unemployed in the country, said Maulana Fazl Rehman, Chief of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUIF) while addressing party workers in Peshawar on Sunday.
“First chickens, then buffaloes and now Langar Khana have been started to transform country’s economy,” Fazl said while criticized the PTI government for its policies. Maulana said that on October 27, the whole world will express solidarity with Kashmiri and so the JUIF will also observe the day. He added after expressing solidarity with the Kashmiris, the caravans will leave for Islamabad. “I want to tell state agencies to remain neutral,” said Maulana in his address.
Maulana in his reference to CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that the KP government will not allow protestors to enter into Islamabad said That JUIF have peaceful people and they should not be disturbed. “If we were attacked then you would not be even safe in your homes.”
He stressed the JUIF is using its constitutional right to hold a protest. “We have always supported the constitution and the law of the land. We stand with the Constitution today and the march is for the supremacy of constitution.” Fazl claimed.
“Today’s economy is sinking,” said Maulana Fazlur Rehman. “We have to save the country, save the economy of the country.”
Provincial President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Maulana Attaur Rahman addresses volunteers said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam held millions of marriages throughout the country. He added that today doctors, businessmen and people from other fields are protesting against the government.
Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam while addressing the volunteers said that The Azadi march will reach Islamabad through various cities. “it is a march for supremacy of the constitution in the country,” said Haideri. “If elections are not free in the country, the economy cannot improve.” He added that they Are going to Islamabad to get rid of selected government as today every citizen is worried about inflation and the rising cost of living.
