WhatsApp service suffers major outage

PESHAWAR, 3 November: WhatsApp messaging app suffered a major outage in different parts of the world, including Pakistan, on Friday.

Millions of WhatsApp users suffered due to blockage of the world’s most popular messaging app and faced difficulties in sending and receiving messages and videos.

Media reports said the service was affected due to fault in the main server, which has been removed and the service has been restored. A spokesman for Facebook, which owns the app, said the matter is under investigation.
