PESHAWAR: The Pakhtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) has completed all arrangements for its rally in Karachi today (Sunday).

The organisers of the public meeting said the rally will be organised in Sohrab Goth area of the metropolitan where a large number of Pakhtuns inhabit. Pakhtuns from different parts of the country are expected to attend the rally.

The PTM chief Manzoor Pashteen is travelling to Karachi via road after he was not allowed to board a plane on Saturday. The PTM activists said Manzoor Pashteen had bought a ticket of a private airline to travel to Karachi from Islamabad, but that ticket was cancelled. PTM activist Mohsin Dawar said Pashteen also bought another plane ticket from Lahore to Karachi, but could not board the plane in time. He alleged that Pashteen was deliberately made to wait at the airport until he missed the plane.

The PTM has already announced second round of talks with a Jirga constituted by the government after the Karachi rally. The government committee led by MNA from Khyber Agency Al-Haaj Shah Jee Gul Afridi includes Fata parliamentarians, KP Minister Shah Farman and tribal elders.
