PESHAWAR: A woman has killed her husband over allegedly sexually abusing his own daughters in Mirah Surezai area of Peshawar.

The woman instead of fleeing the scene preferred to hand her over to police and made some startling revelations about her husband. Police have collected evidences from the crime scene and started investigation of the case from various angles.

According to Inqilab Police Station officials, policemen went to a house in Mirah Surezai on receiving information about a murder on Thursday morning. A 40-year-old woman, Gul Meena who was present near the body of her husband Muhammad Jan told police that her husband used to sexually abuse his own daughters. While revealing the shocking details, she alleged that her husband also abused his 14-year-old daughter on Wednesday night. She said her husband was sleeping in the morning when she opened fire on him with a pistol. She said her husband died on the spot in the firing.

Police said the woman has been arrested and shifted to Women Police Station. A case of the incident has also been registered and evidences have been collected from the murder scene.

Police said the medical tests of the victim girls will also be carried out under the light of the report filed by their mother. Further legal action in the case will be taken in the light of the medical report of the girls.

Child killed in gas cylinder blast

A day after a gas leakage blast in Nowshera, another cylinder blast happened in Upper Dir on Thursday in which one child lost his life and four women were injured.

TNN correspondent said the gas cylinder blast happened in Wari area at the house of Dilaram Khan in which one child lost his life and four women were injured. The injured women were shifted to hospital.

On Wednesday, seven members of a family were injured in a gas cylinder blast in Pabbi area of Nowshera.

Meanwhile, 15 people were injured in a road accident in Khalgram area of Upper Dir.

A dumper collided with a coaster in Khalgram area due to which 15 people were injured. The injured persons were shifted to hospital where the condition of three of them was stated to be critical.
