PESHAWAR, August 18: Authorities have started work to install a high power transformer in Badaber area of the provincial capital Peshawar at an estimated cost of 70 million rupees.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) provincial information secretary Mr Nasir Khan Musazai, other party members and local elders participated in the inaugural ceremony.

Addressing the ceremony, Mr Nasir Khan said that after the installation of the new transformer, the electricity problem of Mashokhel, Badaber, Saifan and Mashokakar areas would be solved.

They said the transformer would start functioning in the coming month.
