PESHAWAR, September 8: To observe World Literacy Day, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday launched a drive to enroll around 0.9 million children in schools.
Teachers and local government members would participate in this drive that was properly launched by Speaker provincial assembly Asad Qaiser here at Hasnain Sharif Higher Secondary School Peshawar.
The speaker said that this would be second drive this year to enroll out school children, adding that in this drive around nine hundred thousand children would be admitted.
He said that 0.7 million children would be admitted at public sector schools while 0.2 million in private schools.
He appealed parents to cooperate with the government to fulfill the dream of an educated Pakhtunkhwa. He said that the government wanted that not a single child could be deprived of his right to education.
