LOWER DIR, 18 November: A three-day youth festival in Timergara area of Lower Dir concluded on Thursday.

Stall of food and local dresses and sports competitions were organised on the occasion. The local youth participated in guli danda, kabaddi, skhai, judo karate and other sports competitions. School students also took part in calligraphy and painting competitions, while a wheelchair cricket tournament was also organised for disabled players.

The visitors took keen interest in the stalls and enjoyed the sports competitions.

“We greatly enjoyed the local sports like tug-of-war, shalghati and other competitions here and it was a very good tour. The organisers deserve appreciation for their great efforts,” a visitor told TNN.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Irshad Khan and Tehsil Nazim Riaz Muhammad Advocate also visited the festival. They appreciated the organisers for the successful festival.

Prizes were distributed among the players at the concluding ceremony.
