PESHAWAR, 16 October: Indian pacer Zaheer Khan has announced retirement from international cricket.

The 37-year old bowler made this announcement in a statement on Thursday. He said his physical fitness is not good enough to continue international cricket. However, he said he will play another season of the Indian Premier League.

According to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Zaheer Khan made his debut in 2000 and played his last match against New Zealand in Wellington in 2014. He got 311 wickets in 92 Tests and 282 wickets in ODIs in his 200 appearances. He also got 17 wickets in T-20 matches.
