PESHAWAR, 06 May: Expressing satisfaction over security arrangements, the Zimbabwe security delegation has given a go-ahead to its cricketers for Pakistan tour.

The Zimbabwean delegation discussed security arrangements with their Pakistani counterparts in Lahore. During the tournament both the teams would play three one-day international and one T20 matches—all in Qaddafi Stadium Lahore. It would be first team to visit Pakistan since 2009 when terrorists attached Sri Lankan team in Lahore.

Punjab police say that over 3,000 security personnel would be deputed to ensure security of the visiting team. Public transport would not be allowed to ply on the routes used for transporting the players of visiting team and they would have an air cover as well. Armoured Personnel Carrier vehicles would be used to drop and take the players from the stadium.
